Yet again another post that I felt compelled to write from some of the emails I get on a daily basis.  People always want to know what is up with the phony phone psychics!  I have tried to explain time and again that most of the phone psychic companies that you see out there are nothing but scam artists with good (or semi-good) marketing people behind them.  The bottom line is that it is easy to scam people who are already vulnerable and let’s face it, if you are in search of a psychic reading then you are probably in a pretty vulnerable state as it is.

I don’t mean for this to sound harsh, but it is true and there are many people out there that are more than happy to take advantage of that fact.  I wish to protect you from that and protect the reputations of real psychics.  Telephone psychics of old were never really psychics at all, but today there are companies that you can find online that offer psychic readings through the phone.  Some of these psychics are very legitimate so I don’t want you to think that all phone psychics are phony.  If you find your psychic on places like Keen or Psychic Source, those are two places where there are some very talented individuals working.  I do not do phone readings myself, but do offer Psychic Readings and Crystal Healings.

This is not to say that there are not fake psychics that operate only online, because there definitely are.  The same principles apply, if something seems too cheesy  and fake it probably is.  There are some very accurate psychics out there that have small little websites that might look unprofessional, but that doesn’t mean they are not real.  In fact, I would be more inclined to get a reading from a psychic who appears genuine in all aspects and doesn’t have a ton of money to throw around making their web presence spectacular.

Something like this little website would be of more interest to me than a much more professional looking one, but that is not to say that some of the larger companies do not have talented people working for them.  You should always go with your gut instinct.

I know that most of us are tired of working for “the man” and would love to work for ourselves.  This is true for psychics as well as anyone else.  Well now you can have your own psychic line and it is pretty easy.  Psychic phone lines are by far dead and gone, even with the massive surge of business on the Internet for psychics, a psychic hot line is still the choice of many who want a psychic reading.  Now you can actually become a phone psychic on your own and charge by a per minute basis just like all the large companies that hire psychics.

There are a few companies that offer this services.  The basic structure for how it works is this:

• You need a dedicated phone line
• No special equipment is required
• You charge a per minute fee
• The company you use will forward all calls you receive to your dedicated line
• They will take a fee for each call or charge a monthly service fee
• They will forward your payments to you once a month

It is really that easy to have your own psychic line.  As a clairvoyant, performing psychic readings over phone lines is not a problem and I have been doing so for years.  It is much easier to set up your own psychic phone line then it is to set up your own website.  Psychics on line often work for other companies that have a large network and the knowledge to optimize the websites.  But, if you have knowledge of how to work a phone, then you can have your own psychic line!

You will more than likely have to do some advertising, but there are many places, like Keen.com, that are well known and are easier to get clients from then maybe some other places.  Although Keen is a website, you still advertise phone readings and are able to set up psychic phone lines through them.

A telephone psychic reading is as old as dirt.  Well, OK, not really THAT old, but the psychic phone reading is older than the online psychic reading and while it has lost some of its popularity since the Internet became the main source for psychic readings, it still enjoys a customer base.  A lot of people still prefer to actually talk to their psychic reader rather than type something in a little box as it can be much easier to convey emotion and an idea by actually speaking to your reader.  Many companies that employ multiple readers will offer a few minutes of free psychic phone reading, but very few, like maybe three minutes.  After that brief introduction, you will be paying a per minute rate, often a very high per minute rate fee.  A word of warning, companies that offer psychic phone readings and advertise on television are often frauds.  I worked for one many many years ago and there is no psychic ability required to work for them.  There are many tricks you are taught that keeps a person on the line longest and a way to offer very vague answers that anyone can relate to pretty much anything.  Essentially the customer leaves confused but feels their questions were answered because they can make them work with the answers given.  I feel it is a very shady way to do business!

On the flip side, there are many online psychics that also offer telephone psychic readings.  These psychics will usually offer one standard price for a certain time frame.  For instance you might pay $90 for a 60 minute reading or $20-$25 for a 15 minute phone reading.  While these prices may seem steep at first, consider that the other way is you paying like $5.99 per minute!  It is well worth your research to find a reputable psychic by searching on the Internet or the yellow pages for a psychic phone reading.

A telephone psychic reading can be much more personal and this is important to many people.  I am strongly suggesting that you stay away from the cheesy phone psychics that work for a large company that advertises on television.  Many of the people that work there are not real psychics, the ones that are quickly find another way to offer their services to the public.  There are some psychics that still offer their services by a per minute basis and this is ok because they typically work for themselves, but through a system such as Keen which works through finding your phone psychic of choice online and finding ones that offer phone readings and calling them if they are online.
