Spiritual healing requires, for most, a recognition of a God, any God, that exists beyond our realm here on Earth and with whom they have a relationship with. Their God provides for them a sense of security, joy, guidance and most times inspiration that they believe is impossible to have without their conviction that God exists. Spiritual healing works in congruence with the body, mind and spirit and happens when energy is passed from one person, channeling the energy from a higher power, to the person in need of healing. This spiritual healing often helps with physical, emotional and mental issues.

The reason I say that spiritual healing isn’t for everyone is because many people do not believe in a divine power or God, like me for instance. I do not believe in any gods, goddesses or divine powers, but I do believe that we are all connected on a level of energy that has everything to do with nature and science and not a god. Of course I believe in psychic powers and I believe that most people who work as psychics genuinely have gifts, even if they believe their gifts are from God or they speak to angels. People even say they have spirit guides, but to me they are communicating on a higher level with themselves, but that is just my opinion. I don’t believe it matters how a psychic arrives at the information they do, just as long as they get there in the end.

For those interested in this form of healing there are many spiritual healing books and courses one can take to learn more about it. In fact some spiritual healing courses are even offered online at various websites. These books and courses are a great way for one to learn and expand in their beliefs as well as offer some solace in times of great need.

I want everyone to understand that I believe everyone has the right to believe they way they want to and I don’t knock you for believing differently than myself as long as you offer me the same respect. One day I hope to live in a world of peace and love and if it takes you to get some spiritual healing in order to live like that then go for it!

If however you believe as I do then you can take solace in healing yourself with energy healing like Reiki or crystal healing. Otherwise you can turn within and lift your own “spirits” by healing yourself!

Crystals for healing all have very special properties.  I will be listing a few in this post to give you an idea of what ailments particular crystals are associated with and can be used to help aid in healing.  The crystals healing power is very profound and can make all the difference to the person receiving the healing benefits.  A crystal healing massage is also a very relaxing and amazing experience.  The vibrations of the crystals very easily relax muscles and bring about a much needed balance in your life.

Here are a list of crystals used for healing and their attributes.  You could very easily use this guide and others like it to help yourself by carrying around a gemstone or crystal that corresponds to something you are trying to get help for.  Just having the crystal nearby can help!

Moss Agate - helpful in relieving stress and allergies brought on by weather and pollution.  Helps to speed up recovery. Great for cleaning blood and bowels.

Amethyst – used to focus energy and is often used by healers. Used for blood and breathing problems and also great insomnia and headaches.

Blue Lace Agate- Great for de stressing and to help facilitate peace and happiness.

Orange Calcite – helps to heal the reproductive system, gallbladder and intestinal disorders.  Can also reduce mucous and be helpful with COPD.

Kyanite – Great for restoring balance and stabilizing energy.  Use in meditation.

Labradorite – a power stone used to stimulate imagination, see through illusions, meditate and to develop enthusiasm

Peridot – good for healing liver and gallbladder problems.  It is also a great spiritual stone and can protect against negative feelings.

These are just a handful of examples, but the beauty of crystals alone are often times enough to bring peace.  It is important to note that some stones are very powerful and should only be used by healers if you are attempting to use the crystal for healing.  Never use crystal healing in place of traditional medicine.

Healing with crystals is an ancient practice.  Where and by who it was originated by is not known, but it is safe to say that crystal healing was probably a natural progression from people wearing gemstones and crystals as amulets to ward off evil.  Crystals have been used for centuries in the eastern cultures but today makes its way into western cultures mainly through the occult and new age movements.  The “laying on of stones” has been around as long as society has been around.  Hot stones were often placed on body parts that ached, this could also be part of the origin of healing with crystals.

A crystal healer or practitioner will typically place crystals and gemstones on the chakras or possibly other parts of the body that is in need of healing.  Chakra’s are spiritual energy points in the body and there are seven in the human body, each associated with a particular color.  A crystal healer may or may not use crystals that are the same color as the one associated with the chakra.  Many healers prefer to use clear quartz as their balancing stone of choice, but others will use the same color stone over the chakra associated with that color.  A crystal healer will lay the stones on the chakra points and then depending on their method, they may meditate over each stone sending balancing and good energy to that point or they may use other crystals to balance the energy.  Crystals for healing all have special energy associated with them.  For instance, Lapis Lazuli is often associated with spiritual development and mental clarity and is often place on the “third eye” chakra.

Balancing the chakras in crystal healing is the essential means of practice.  It is supposed to bring a person in balance physically and spiritually and many people often feel very relaxed after a session.  Crystal for healing can also be used to help aid in healing of specific ailments whether they be physical or mental.  NO ONE SHOULD EVER STOP TAKING MEDICATION OR SEEING A REGULAR M.D. if also seeing a crystal healer.  Science has not proven that healing crystals work, but it also does not harm if you continue your doctor induced regiments.

I have worked as a crystal healer for many years and I find that it energizes people.  If nothing else you will feel relaxed and that is always beneficial to your well being.  Healing crystals can also be worn on the body, placed next to your bed at night, under your pillow or in your pocket.  This will allow the healing power of the crystals to benefit you during all times, even when not seeing a crystal healer.
