Psychic Reading on the Net

For anyone who has even looked into psychic readings even a little bit will know that there are many types of psychics and psychic readings you can get.  Each type offers a different skew on the answers you are looking for or provide you with different information.  This post will focus on several different types of readings and offer you some information on what you can expect from each one.

The different types of readings are really based on the different types of psychics and how their abilities work.  Each psychic will claim to have a certain ability and that will correlate to how they conduct your reading.

The Clairvoyant Psychic:  The clairvoyant psychic will be a psychic who will have the ability to actually see images of the past/present/future.  The term clairvoyant actually means to “see clearly”.  Often times they will be able to capture these images from touching people or objects.  Some claim to have the gift without even having to touch something.  Basically this is how this particular type of psychic will obtain their information.  A clairvoyant is often someone who receives their information via all senses such as seeing, hearing and feeling.  Other related terms are clairaudient and clairsentient.  A clairaudient tends to receive their messages by hearing what is happening without having to be there and a clairsentient is someone who feels things in others without having to touch them or know them.  For instance, sometimes clairsentients have been known to feel a disease in another person.

The Medium Psychic: Many of us already know what a Medium is from all the television shows.  A medium is someone who can communicate with the dead and other non-living beings.  Many grieving people seek out the help of a medium in order to communicate with lost loved ones and many find a medium psychic reading to be of a great comfort.  Mediums claim they can communicate or sense other beings as well like “angels” or “demons”.

Accurate psychic readings are a bone of contention among many people.  I would say that the accuracy depends on your ability to perceive what the psychic is trying to convey and your ability to believe in their ability.  Love psychic readings are often the most requested of psychic readings and often leave a person feeling hopeful, but can be distressing if you don’t hear what you want to hear.  A psychic reading should be one that is helpful and compassionate no matter the subject or outcome.  Any psychic worth their grain in salt will know how to give you information in a way that you can best digest it.

Both mystics and psychoanalysts have given a great deal of weight to the interpretation of dreams.  Much of Freud’s work centered on dream interpretation, believing it to be a window into the subconscious.  Mystics throughout history have posited the theory that dreams are a window into the divine, through which people may see into the future.  This interest in dreams has led to a number of free dream interpretation sites on the web, as well as numerous books on finding the meaning behind dreams.  Many with recurring dreams have turned to these sites to try to unpack the layers of meaning.

Most free dream interpretation sites offer a database of symbols commonly seen in dreams and the objects or feelings they often point to.  Falling is a common occurrence and may point to a feeling of the loss of control or any major life change that is on the horizon.  Teeth are dreamed of more commonly than one might think and many claim that this may indicate feelings of failure or impending illness.  Many of these sites feature hundreds if not thousands of items commonly present in dreams and can help the dreamer understand what may be at the root of their appearance.

Dream journals can be helpful in the interpretations of dreams as well.  Finding common threads throughout your dreaming life may help to isolate the symbols and items that are important and narrow down the objects that warrant interpretation.  In addition, some find that dream journals help illustrate a pattern that is emerging in dreaming or events in life that trigger certain images.  This can help in linking them to the conscious minds and promote greater understanding.

For more in depth dream analysis, dream blogs are popular.  They allow users to transcribe the full content of a dream and open it up to members for interpretation.  Some believe that this will provide a more accurate reading, as symbols can be evaluated in a context.  Many dream interpretation blogs allow users access to their service at no charge.  In addition to sharing their own dreams, they will have access to the dreams of others and can help them with interpretation and learn more about interpretation in that way.

There are services that, for a fee, will provide a full dream analysis.  They encourage users to write as much of the dream as they can remember and submit it to their experts for interpretation.  Before using these sites, one should always ask about the expertise of the interpreters and search for customer reviews.  One should also find a site that is in line with their beliefs.  For those who are of the mind that dreams can foretell events and should be read as omens, find a site that shares that point of view for the most satisfying reading.  If however you believe that dreams offer insight into the subconscious and would like insight into your own subconscious, dream interpreters who approach dreams from his angle are widely available as well.

Whether your dreams are a point of anxiety, or you are simply curious about what they might mean, free dream interpretation is readily available to offer some possible answers.

Love spells are probably the most frequently written about and requested.  Whether people are looking for the love of a particular person, or are just hoping to find “the one” quickly, even those who are not normally believers in magic are often willing to give spells a try.  Services exist online that will charge a fee for an experienced witch to cast a spell on your behalf.  Others offer websites with free love spells that you may perform yourself to attain the desired results.  Love potions have been often used in literature and movies, and devotes of Wicca provide step by step guides to mixing your own for personal use.

These sites generally advise users to measure their expectations.  Believers caution that people should not enter into a spell with the expectation that they can force anyone in the world to fall in love with them.  A quick survey of the available spells shows that their primary purpose it not to produce the one with whom you will fall in love, but to reveal their identity.  The work of the actual relationship is, of course, up to the user.  This falls in line with one of the major tenants of the modern Wiccan religion, where nothing may be done to the detriment of another.

There are a number of sites offering to lend their spell casting experience to amateurs.  The fees these sites charge vary wildly and a spell may cost anything from a few dollars to over a hundred.  The same general rules for internet shopping should apply to these sites, and before making an investment a client has the right to ask about proven efficacy and request statements from satisfied customers.  Keep in mind that, as with all religions, many Wiccans are more than happy to share their expertise for free.

Free step by step instructions for casting a love spell can be found in books and online.  Some spells indicate that they may only be cast at certain times during the lunar cycle, or may require the presence of candles and incense.  Each spell is targeted toward a desired end, so choose one that is most in line with your aims.  Many are designed for simplicity and can be adapted to fit the materials you have on hand.

Love potions are also commonly used, and may include rose water or other liquids associated with romance.  Most are designed to be ingested by the user, so there is no need to surreptitiously force another to drink your concoction.  A prevailing thought in Wiccan spell casting is that spells should be personalized to reflect your beliefs or wishes, so users should not hesitate to add their own take, or change to spell to something with which they feel more comfortable.

Proponents of love spells have been using them for centuries to spark or rekindle romances.  Though their efficacy has not been scientifically proven, there are many within the Wiccan religion and outside it who credit their relationships to such spells.  Believers say that spells are deeply personal, and so too is the decision to use them.

People have always been fascinated by magic spells.  Believers and non-believers alike are drawn to them for their promised ability to affect physical change in the world with little more than willpower.  Magic has held a central role in literature and folklore throughout history, and unexplained phenomena and new scientific advances were often believed to be evidence of magic in the world.  Many of the symbols and tools used by those who practice magic today are grounded in the religion and beliefs of ancient civilizations.

Much of today’s magic can be traced to the religions of Ancient Egypt and Greece.  Often, priests were believed to be in possession of magic powers, and some writings that have been recovered from those regions are thought to be spells.  It is here that wands are first used, and priests in these cultures were the first to employ magic circles both as defense against evil as well as to aid in the conjuring of spirits.  Both the Egyptians and Greeks were deeply spiritual, and called upon magic and the actions of the gods to explain major natural disasters and topographical features in the earth.  What would now be considered practices of ritualistic magic were often used to speak to the spirits of the dead or interpret omens.

The traditions of Northern Europeans who celebrated Norse and Celtic gods are echoed in the practices of modern Wicca.  The Wiccan New Year is meant to coincide with the Celtic one, and much of the runic magic still studied today is patterned after ancient Norse runes.  Both these religions relied heavily on the lunar calendar and their religious symbols were generally based on objects in the natural world.  The central symbol in Norse mythology was a tree from which all life was said to sprout. This became a meeting place for pagans in Northern Europe even after Christianity had begun to take hold.  Long after a forced conversion, stories of these rituals were passed on in folklore and continued to be practiced in addition to the rituals associated with the practice of Christianity at the time.

Paganism and an interest in the occult never entirely died down.  Even throughout the 18^th and 19^th Centuries in Western Europe, pagan sects continued to operate, though in smaller numbers than in the past.  Some pagan rites, such as the séance, were co-opted as bourgeois parlor games.  Certain aspects of magic were adopted into the mainstream, and European practitioners of magic saw greater legal protections in their rights of religious expression than ever before.  While Europe was becoming more accepting of witchcraft, the United States was dealing with the aftermath of the Salem Witch Trials, offering reparations to victims and their families and acknowledging the failing of the justice system.

Today, magic spells are primarily used by members of Wiccan covens.  They maintain many of the fixtures of ancient magic, such as wands, cauldrons and incense.  Though the number of Christians and Jews in this country still far outnumbers Wiccans, there are still many active adherents in the United States.

Witchcraft spells play a central role in the modern day Wiccan religion and have been present throughout history as integral parts of pagan religions and ceremonies around the world.  The goal of a spell is generally to manipulate something in the natural world by calling on the power of a god or other being through potions, ritual incantations, rune inscription, or one of any number of other methods.  Spells are often tied to lunar cycles, and may only be used during different phases of the moon.  Others are location specific or may require the presence of specific objects at the time of their casting.  In each society and religion where witchcraft spells are featured, different rules and mores surrounding their use have been present.

Modern Wiccan religion focuses on the use of white, or benevolent, magic.  Spells intended to cause harm are generally frowned upon in the Wiccan community.  The most common witchcraft spells in modern usage or those associated with physical or emotional purification.  Candles are often used in conjunction with these ceremonies, and their various colors and shapes are symbolic of different powers or ends to which the spell is appealing.  Many of these services are conducted in groups and center on a solstice or other celestial event.

Runes have been associated with magic and the divine throughout history, playing a major part in Roman, Greek and Norse religion.  Runic symbols may have direct correlation to letters of the alphabet and be used to spell out a specific set of words or incantations, or they may act more like hieroglyphs, conveying stories or general ideas.  While many of the symbols used in modern runic divination or spell casting are grounded in inscriptions of ancient cultures, there have been updated works by leaders of Neo-pagan religions published in recent years.

Those who practice witchcraft have been alternately accepted and rejected by the mainstream in various points of world history.  Ancient Greek, Roman, and Norse religions relied heavily on the casting of spells and other acts of divination.  In cultures where pagan religions are most prominent, witchcraft typically holds an important ceremonial place in both state and private events.  As Christianity and Judaism became more widespread, witchcraft was confined to the margins of society and was given the brunt of the blame in periods of famine or depressing.  The Salem Witch Trials are a prime and well known example of witchcraft being cast as the starting point for all of a society’s ills, but this is far from the only historical example.

Witchcraft spells may be personalized to reflect the beliefs and ends of those using them and often, different covens will use different variations on the same spells.  As are most other religions, Wicca and other pagan sects are often practiced socially with fellow like minded believers.  Many believers will choose natural gods or goddesses to whom they feel most connected and call upon them in incantations.  It is important to note that though witchcraft has been generally looked upon with fear, most of those practicing it consider the primary aim to be connecting with positive forces of energy.

Yet again another post that I felt compelled to write from some of the emails I get on a daily basis.  People always want to know what is up with the phony phone psychics!  I have tried to explain time and again that most of the phone psychic companies that you see out there are nothing but scam artists with good (or semi-good) marketing people behind them.  The bottom line is that it is easy to scam people who are already vulnerable and let’s face it, if you are in search of a psychic reading then you are probably in a pretty vulnerable state as it is.

I don’t mean for this to sound harsh, but it is true and there are many people out there that are more than happy to take advantage of that fact.  I wish to protect you from that and protect the reputations of real psychics.  Telephone psychics of old were never really psychics at all, but today there are companies that you can find online that offer psychic readings through the phone.  Some of these psychics are very legitimate so I don’t want you to think that all phone psychics are phony.  If you find your psychic on places like Keen or Psychic Source, those are two places where there are some very talented individuals working.  I do not do phone readings myself, but do offer Psychic Readings and Crystal Healings.

This is not to say that there are not fake psychics that operate only online, because there definitely are.  The same principles apply, if something seems too cheesy  and fake it probably is.  There are some very accurate psychics out there that have small little websites that might look unprofessional, but that doesn’t mean they are not real.  In fact, I would be more inclined to get a reading from a psychic who appears genuine in all aspects and doesn’t have a ton of money to throw around making their web presence spectacular.

Something like this little website would be of more interest to me than a much more professional looking one, but that is not to say that some of the larger companies do not have talented people working for them.  You should always go with your gut instinct.

Finding accurate psychics online can be a bit of a challenge as you probably already know.  While it may be a challenge it is also not nearly has hard as you think it might be.  Psychics get a bad reputation from cheesy shows, movies and shady business practices, but there are genuine psychics out there who want to help and would appreciate your business.  You have to understand that all things paranormal cannot really be proved at this point because science has not caught up with most of it, so this lends itself to exploitation and corruption for those out to make a quick buck.

A lot of my posts on this site have concentrated on trying to bring awareness to the scandalous practices of a lot of people, but I just cannot stress it enough.  An online psychic reading can be just as beneficial as a face to face reading, but many people distrust this format.  It can be trusted if you can find an authentic psychic.  My advice has always been to do your research and browse the websites that you come across.  Is it a big business and fancy website or is it more simple like mine and advertises only one or a handful of psychics?  Usually the individuals offering online psychic readings are more to be trusted than cheesy corporations employing psychics without any accuracy check of their psychic abilities.

Psychics online can be trusted and accurate, but you need to go with your gut instinct on choosing one.  Not all online psychics have their recommendations plastered all over their website, but should be able to provide references, so don’t let that stop you from not using a particular psychic because you don’t see glorified reviews all over their site.  Some of us are much more subtle in our approach than that   Really it is a matter of preference.

What I will warn you against is companies that have 1oo’s of psychics online.  Online psychic readings can be just as accurate as in person readings but you have to have a real accurate psychic in order for that to happen.  Most of these companies hire anyone without verification of psychic abilities.  Do not fall into this trap!  Those are the companies and “psychics” that give the rest of us a bad reputation and frankly it is extremely frustrating to try and undo the bad experiences you have had when you come for a real psychic reading from me.

Use your head is all I am saying!

Psychics and clairvoyants often need a chance to blow off steam with like minded others so there is often a close group of them who are friends and get together as often as possible for a little chit-chat, sometimes in a psychic circle but more often as friends over coffee. I have the distinct pleasure of having several psychic friends who I am honored to call friends and we get together as often as possible to compare notes and just relax with other people who understand us.

Most of us know how important it is to surround ourselves with people who understand us on a level that most people do not. A place where you can truly be yourself and discuss things that others might find strange or offensive. If you do not have a group of friends like this then I highly recommend you find some. These people are different from your spouse or family and they count as their own separate support group!

So the meeting of clairvoyants that I refer to was a group of four of us that got together for drinks at a local tavern. One of us brought tarot cards, because she never leaves home without them, and the rest of us brought our cheery dispositions! Well something very interesting happened this particular evening that I would like to share with all of you.

Friend #1 with the tarot cards decided to get them out for a laugh, but of course there were other people in the bar that night who happened to notice. Before long we had a huge group of people surrounding us, interested in a bunch of psychics all in one place. Of course we had the skeptics who were harassing us and asking us to prove our abilities, but there were also other folks who were genuinely interested in what we were doing. Now normally we don’t “perform” like this during our get together, this just happened naturally, but something powerful came from it.

When you get a bunch of psychics in a room who know what they are doing they are able to work off each others energies and actually create a huge “super psychic” if you will – our psychic abilities are often enhanced if we are all tuned in at the same time. This happened to us on this night when a young woman approached our table after the hoopla died down and wanted to know if she could ask us a question. There was something about his woman that made us all very sad and we wanted to help. She told us her son had been missing for three days and that she wasn’t in the bar to drink, in fact she was just walking home when she saw a big crowd around our table and felt compelled to come in and see what was going on. She asked us if we could sense where her child was.

Let me say that this is not something I am normally comfortable in and I do not work for police stations because of this, but some of my friends are experienced in this area. I lent my energy to my friends and we tried to pick up on where this child might be. My friend with the tarot cards suddenly cried out that this woman’s son was being held in a basement somewhere not far from where we were. He was scared, but alive and seemingly unharmed.

I felt that my friend was correct, but we had no way of knowing where exactly this place was, she wasn’t picking up on an address, etc, but the young mother knew exactly where, or at least she knew the person who took her son at that moment. She said she had a contractor in her house about seven months ago who kept talking about all the remodeling he had done to his own basement. Her intuition told her at that moment that he was the one, she remembered his name and used my phone to call the police. Her son was rescued less than 45 minutes later.

That is one meeting of clairvoyants to go down in the record books! What an experience!

If you are reading this post then you have probably received several psychic readings in the past.  Even if you have not this is probably good information to have because you will have it for future reference.  Psychic readings are a very personal thing and each one is unique and will give you different insights into you life.  Many people see the same psychic much like they would their family doctor and this is perfectly fine unless the quality of your readings are suffering, then it might be time to think about a change.  This should not be a slight to your psychic and you shouldn’t feel guilty.  Let me explain what happens.

Psychic readers are human beings just like you and they have the same hang ups and flaws as every other human on the planet.  If you have had a psychic that has worked for you for a long time then it could just be a matter of being too familiar with you and your situation that blocks their readings from bringing anything new to the table.  This does happen and happens often and all psychics should be aware of this and not take offense if you choose to leave their service and you should not feel guilty.  There is a way to avoid this problem and it is very simple.

The rule about psychic readings that you should always follow is that you should only get one about once every six months or so.  There are people who are addicted to the readings and jump from one psychic to the next in hopes of hearing what they want to hear, but that never solves anything, it just ends up leaving you frustrated in the end.  If you follow the once every six months rule then you don’t risk burnout of your psychic as much and it allows for you to make life changes if needed.  Those life changes, maybe stemming from your last psychic reading, allow your life to reset itself.  A reading is only going to be helpful after you make some changes and then come in for a reading to see where your progress is taking you and to see if any more adjustments need to be made.

So if you love your psychic and you do not wish to change psychic readers anytime soon then maybe you should take heed and follow the six month rule.  The only time I would recommend you break that rule is if something drastic happens within that six months that you can’t wait to find answers for.

Ah Amore, something we all desire but most have a hard time acquiring. Dundadaaaa…in comes the love psychic! What is a love psychic? Funny you should ask…let me explain.

A psychic is a psychic is a psychic but some claim to be more gifted in certain areas like love, finance, career, etc. So it would make sense that a love psychic or a love psychic reading would concentrate on the love life of the client more so than any other subject. I have a hard time with those claiming to be “love psychics” because I feel that if you have a gift it is equally impressive no matter what subject matter the client wishes to focus on. I also know how marketing works and most marketing is deceptive and geared toward capitalizing on as much money as possible. This focus often skewers the perception of the client into thinking that a love psychic is exactly what they need and often those who engage in such tactics are phony in the first place.

Having said that, I do believe that some psychics are able to tune into people’s emotions more so than others, myself included. Empaths are notorious for this and while I wouldn’t go as far as to call myself a “love psychic” I would agree that there are those of us who can tap into emotions more so than others giving us a slight upper hand when it comes to matters of the heart. I would just caution you from websites and psychics who claim to be able to help you with your love life above and beyond anything else in your life.

Many psychics become angry with me, but I am just telling it like it is. It gives everyone a bad name when the majority of psychics out there are phony and offer “love psychic readings” as if they are so much better at those than anything else. You have to understand as the client that this is playing to your emotions. Most people seek out psychic advice in the love department and some people are just trying to capitalize on that and are not really “better” at it than other psychics.

I would be leery of those psychics who claim they are. I have worked in this business a long time and I do readings for people who have been burned before and it irritates me to no end that there are fake psychics trying to sucker vulnerable people into readings. Don’t get me wrong though, if you want a reading that deals mainly with your love life that is not a problem, but try and find a well rounded psychic!

I am sure we are all pretty familiar with the standard psychic test that is given in random laboratories and studies worldwide. The test I am referring to is the “card” test where a deck of cards with symbols (typically a star, wavy lines, square, triangle, circle) is used to test the psychic abilities of subjects. The basic theory is that if a person is truly psychic they will be able to “guess” what card a person is holding up without being able to see the card over 50% of the time.  While there has never been a documented case that proves someone psychic using this test, it never fails to be the one everyone wants to administer.  It does make sense because it is a simple test that is easily controlled, so I decided to take it.

I will start off by saying that this psychic ability test that was administered to me was in no way scientifically endorsed or administered by a professional.  I sat with my back to my sisters, who had the cards, and she would raise a card and ask me to guess which one it was.  We repeated the steps 100 times and out of 100 I got 43 correct, less than half correct.  Now this did not bum me out because I do not claim to have the ability to just see what the next card is going to be.  There are so many different psychic abilities and I knew that was not mine, so we tried another psychic test and this one was much more interesting.

We took five people who were volunteers and that I have never met before and placed them in a room separate from mine and I sat with my back to the wall and one by one my sister would send one of the five people into my room without any verbal communication.  They were to come to the doorway of my room without saying anything or clearing their throat or doing anything that would give away their height, gender, etc.  They were instructed to stand there until I made a declaration then move away without saying anything.  I did not know if I guessed correctly until the experiment was finished.  We repeated the process 1oo times and I guessed the person correctly 89 times.

I believe this is because my psychic abilities lie with me being empathetic and picking up on individual energies.  I should note that the 11 times I guessed wrong were in the first 25 guesses and I guessed correctly 75 times in a row.  I believe this is because I began to get acquainted with each individual energy and could recognize them time and again.  This was by far a controlled experiment, but we did control it as much as possible.

My point is this: that psychic tests should be varied and cater to different abilities then maybe we could find some “proof” for psychic abilities.
